I remember seeing Cicley Tyson on the cover of Ebony magazine with this really beautiful Egyptian braided hairstyle. I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! Patrice Rushen, with her long elegant beaded styles...The girl from the MaryJane Girls...beaded to perfection. And of course Peaches, from Peaches and Herb!! I had to have them! With or without beads, braids are the bomb!!!
Whether I was skinny or fat, happy or sad, I loved wearing braids! Curly braids, beaded braids, long braids, short braids, straight braids, extensions, my own hair, I've worn them all.....lol |
