| Many of you have emailed me wanting to know more about Rastafari and Rasta Solomon...so we had another chat about locing.... being a Rastafarian...and Holy Herb...... |
| daez: Hi Solomon....glad we could get together and have another chat....so...many people have emailed me asking sooo many questions about you. One of the main questions has been how do your Rastafarian beliefs relate to smoking herb or do they? You know...we have pictures of you on your page smoking herb....and you are smoking it now...AND blowing it in my direction....I might add... (cough...cough...lol....))....(giggles for real now) Rasta Solomon: Hello...it is a pleasure to be able to have a chat with you once again...To answer the question....smoking herb....hmmm...smoking herb is just a higher height of meditation....being One with the Father....a Holy Sacrament...being one with Him...it's a part of who we are...as Rasta's....you know, there are some who don't smoke...but that is by choice...When we smoke herb, we give Thanks and Praises to the Father....there's just so many different reasons..it's not just to get high....herb has many different healing powers that it is good for many different things medically....it stimulates AIDS patients appetites...cancer patients... after chemo therapy...the same...when you take chemo therapy, you lose your appetite...it helps them keep their strength...there's so many things medically that it's good for that doctors prescribe it in some cases....depending on the severity of the illness....chronic arthiritis patients use it to help control their pain.... daez: Okay Solomon....so you are saying smoking herb and being a Rasta go hand in hand basically?? Because I have met many Rastafarian's online who do not smoke herb...they have nothing against it...but do not partake personally....also, how does smoking herb bring you to One with the Father.....make the people really understand.... Rasta Solomon: Smoking herb for each person is different...for some....it may bring them closer to the Father....for others, they just get high...but for ME....it brings me One to the Father...it's a part of my meditation...it brings me TO my meditation... daez: Sorry to cut in...but what do you mean by meditation... Rasta Solomon: Meditation means FOCUS...my FOCUS is on the Creator...and how to strive to live a righteous man's life...with ONE perfect love....The ALMIGHTY... daez: Ohhh....I understand...so the herb makes you feel CLOSER to God...and helps you focus on the WORD of God and live the way He requires?....am I on the right track.... Rasta Solomon: Yes that's true...closer to God is truly the ONLY focus....especially how he requires me to live my life....according to HIS Word.....yes you ARE on the right track as far as smoking herb...it is HIS creation, so it is PART of Him....so as far as those Rasta's who DON'T smoke herb, I don't have a problem with them as long as they are still one with the Father....on the FRONTLINE...being on the Frontline before the throne of GOD....as long as their main focus...where their meditation is concerned...is on the Father...not smoking herb for them ....it's okay if they don't.... daez: So are you saying if you DON'T smoke herb your concentration...or rather focus on God is not the same as a Rastafarian....does it make a difference in the way you live your life... Rasta Solomon: Every Rasta is different....their focus on GOD may be different...but for me personally...smoking herb...DOES make a DIFFERENCE....in how I live my life....the difference that it's made is my focus...meditation...whatever...but you know what I mean....is daez: Let me cut you off here...I think I understand what you are saying....smoking herb "enhances" your meditation so you can focus and live your life righteously... Rasta Solomon: True dat....lol....cause I would have to say ENHANCE is a good word for that...couldn't be no other reason for it to be here on this earth....besides...it feels so good when our body is relaxed... it...the feeling of the herb hits your soul....it feels like it's just part of you...just seems so natural to be able to smoke it....eat it...wear it...drive it....cause it has so many different universal uses....we feel it's for the healing of the Nations...it DOES bring people together for reasonings...to "OVERSTAND one another.. daez: Wait...let me cut you off again...please explain "OVER-STAND" for those who don't UNDERSTAND....because I know a lot of people will read this who have heard the word and do not know what it means....lol...((I think I've gotten a buzz...lol....)) Rasta Solomon: ....lol....overstand....wow...understand....to OVER-stand is KNOWING...not believing....but KNOWING....because you can BELIEVE anything you want to....but when you OVERSTAND....you KNOW the TRUTH...to UNDERSTAND...I don't want to be UNDER what's on TOP of me....that's what understanding is to me....but to OVERSTAND...is to STAND on the TRUTH...and understand...to me...is to believe anything you want...that's my interpretation.... daez: ....And the truth is... Rasta Solomon: The "truth" is the WORD of GOD... daez: Solomon....many people want to understand "Rasta" or Rastafarian beliefs in God...where do you find the words to guide you...many people say Rastafarian's don't believe in "God" but in Emperor Haile Selassie I as being "God"....would you like to clarify this...and why they would have this misconception.... Rasta Solomon: That's a pretty deep question..I would like to have time to answer that question so people will truly understand my explaination.. daez: No problem boo...((we take a pause while Rasta Solomon..er...um... thinks about it....cough...cough))..... Rasta Solomon: Where I've found the words to guide me is from reading the bible and different books to clarify what the bible says about Haile Selassie I.....to clarify what people have a misconception of a living man being God...it goes back to the bible to CLARIFY what the bible says about Man being the Living God...um...Acts Chapter II clearly states the oath....that God kept with David...about rising up Christ in flesh though David's loins....to sit upon the Throne of David...the Throne of David is GOD'S throne upon earth!!...Go and read the bible from beginning to the end....the air...the heat...the water...the WHOLE book...The bible....talks about Haile Selassie I...they use different names and call him Jesus Christ...and when Christ was crucified...it says that "Christ shall again walk the earth"...and the bible itself clarifies that Haile Selassie I IS Christ ....Christ rising up again in flesh....His rising up again bringing about the healing and miracles that Jesus perfomed here on earth before...now he comes with Judgement on earth...and judgement is not something people are ready for!!....You definetly have to go read in Revelations how Christ names change....he's known as the Lamb of God...the only one worthy to loose the Seven Seals....he is also known as the King of Kings....Lord of Lords...the Conquering Lion of Judah...the Bright and Morning Star...the Root of David....the Alpha and the Omega...beginning without an end...that's Him...His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I...People may ask "what does Haile Selassie mean"...well I am definetly going to explain that....Haile Selassie means "The Power of the Holy Trinity"....just that simple....so just looking at the simplicity of that...what does THAT mean to YOU and apply that to YOUR life....because the power of the Holy Trinity means the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit....I also want to explain his name BEFORE he was crowned Emperor Haile Selassie I....His name is Ras Tafari....and RAS means "Head"....not like your head (crown) but like "Head of"...Ras also means KING....Tafari means "the firmament of the earth"....people used to say that Tafari meant "creator"...but not according to the Amaharic language...This question is sooo deep that people have to READ....not just believe but KNOW...because true wisdom is so much better....In 1930 when he was crowned...He was crowned "King of King and Lord of Lords".... the Queen of England even made sure everyone knew the King of King's had been CROWNED!!!....that's one of the deepest questions you have ever asked me...and is an honor to answer fa sho'....and hope that it enlightens everyone who read it....fa sho'... daez: Thank you Solomon....I want to inform...but most of all EYE want to be informed, ya know.... | daez: Yes!!!....that's the one...it's my favorite...I remember when you first showed it to me I was coiling Victor's hair and we both stopped and stared in amazement....How did that loc form that way... Rasta Solomon: On it's own...without help from me....lol..... daez: lol....okay...so why do you think it looks like a hand....does it have any spiritual meaning to you.....more than any of your other locs.... Rasta Solomon: Nahhhhh....lol.... daez: lol...you KNOW you are making this VERY difficult....lol...okay...you are sooo laid back about your locs...I have been watching for months waiting for a couple of them to break off and they haven't...now....give me an answer that people will really get into....not trying to make you say anything you don't want to...lol....okay Solomon....here it is...."do you feel up close and personal with individual locs on your head"....lol....with their personalities and different appearances....do you KNOW your locs even though you don't really groom them..... Rasta Solomon: I knowwwww (I'm making it difficult)......I like making it this way....it's fun isn't it...lol...but I'll answer your question...lol...I honestly never really thought they had personalities....I just saw this...hair...but some of them look so much different than others....yeah....I guess you could say I am laid back about my hair....but if one breaks off....why get mad....get MAD TV.....I guess you could say they do have personalities...but I look at them and just see hair....they sometimes have a mind of their own...like when they are dirty they don't want to wrap right.... daez: I have learned something interesting from you recently....we were talking about loc maintaince and you said you pull your locs apart when you shampoo them....correct.... Rasta Solomon: Yes that's correct....lol....it's fun to wash your hair...under real hot water...and then when it dries it makes your scalp feel real tingly.... daez: but...but Solomon....it takes three days for your hair to dry!!.....lol....that always trips me out...lol...so you still use the olive oil and Dr. Bronner's soap for shampooing right....or pure castile shampoo....I noticed that the top of your crown where the hair was still lose is starting to form on it's own....the locs are coming and taking individual shape.... Rasta Solomom: Yeah....it does take three days for my hair to dry...but it feels so damn good when it's clean....I LOVE using olive oil for my hair....it makes it soft and gives it the right amount of moisture...I have delayed reaction from smoking...lol...so please forgive me for my tortoise like movements in answering the questions.... daez: lol....it's aiight....just keep blowing that smoke my way and I'll type forever....lol.... Rasta Solomon: Aiight...then I will..lol... daez: er...um...so...do you want to light up another one...lol.... Rasta Solomon: Hell yah...if I had it....lol... daez: ...lol....shoot...okay..er..lol...okay....(sigh)....so I've been taking a LOT of pictures of you the last couple of months...and in almost all of them you are getting buzzed....er...I mean "conscious"....lol....and usually when you are getting "conscious" I am sitting nearby and getting...er...um...contact...lol....I know the people are gonna tease me about this...so before they ask...how do I act....lol.... Rasta Solomon: Lol.....the same....laid back...mellow...and you can talk about anything....we talk about anything...it just flows...we could talk til 5 in the morning or until one of us falls asleep...but I love the pictures you've taken....and your right....90 % of the time or unless I am in the bathroom or sleeping I am smoking...fa shol....yeah.....don't you think that's pretty true.... daez: Okay...er..um...now you KNOW people are going to be saying we must be kicking an awful lot for me to know THAT little tidbit of information....lol....er....but yeah....that's right....what do you think about that.....lol...do you want to explain our relationship to the people....lol.... Rasta Solomon: I can't answer that right now....lol...damn...how do I answer that question....cuz ah....um....they gonna ask becuz they gonna wonder how she know that much about that nigga....yeah...how do I explain our relationship to the people....I truly can't put words to that...because everytime you ask me a question it's deeper and I can't explain that....you would have to give me about 2-3 weeks to answer this right....and I don't know if people have enough time to read a lifetime....it's a very deeply spiritual relationship....and I do know what it means to have a best friend....fa sho'...do you know how cool water feels against your skin when it's extremely hot outside.... daez: Yeah...I do....lol....go on....the people need to know....lol...
