A Loc Chat With Victor and daez...
daez:  Hi Vic!  Why did you decide to loc your hair??
Vic:  Because I wanted a style that would reflect my proud African heritage and also allow me to develop my spiritual being....
daez:  Since you've begun to loc your hair, have you had any specific problems....like itching scalp, dry scalp, problems keeping your locs looking neat??
Vic:  My only problem is because I'm a neat freak about my hair... it's hard for me NOT to go get the "fade" every week or so.......
daez:  You know I am very excited about starting and maintaining your locs for you....are you happy with the results so far??
Vic:  Because I've been thinking about locs for a while, I wanted everything to be right....I truly have to say that you've hooked a Brotha up!!!!
daez:  Thanks Vic!....  It's been 14 weeks since you started locing your hair....Have you noticed any change in the coils, like tightening???
Vic:  I would say that in about the last 2 weeks or so that the hair is starting to loc on it's own.....
daez:  You've bought a few products to use for loc maintaince....such as beeswax, Carol's Daughter Twist and Lock butter, and Lock It Up..You also know I SWEAR by Princess Kayla's
Nattylock Cream....Have you noticed any difference in your babylocs while we have used the different products....such as more sheen, less sheen...itching...etc....IS there a difference??
Vic:  As far as keeping the coils tight, Princess Kayla's Natty Lock cream works the best... Also, Carol's Daughter Lock Butter does a great job of keeping them from getting dry.... as long as you don't use too much....
daez:  What products DO you use to keep your coils looking neat between maintaince visits, and what is your routine as far as keeping them tied up?
Vic:  I mainly use Princess Kayla's and Carol's Daughter....but I also use ORS Anti-Itch Scalp Oil....also, I try to tie my hair up every night with a Doo Rag that allows my hair to breathe... I also tie it up when I work out......
daez:  You know Corey and I both have "hand in loc disease".....where we play with our locs all the time.....lol....do you have any of these symptoms yet, and if not, do you think you will get them??
Vic:  NO!!  Because I'm so used to keeping my hair cut low that I don't even think about....
daez:  Wow....well, cool...Since you began locing your hair, have you gotten any negative comments about it???....Have you had to deal with ANY issues regarding your locs yet?
Vic:  No, but you KNOW me!!!  Even if I DID, I wouldn't give a DAMN!!!
daez:  If you were to go look for a new job today, do you think you would be judged by your locs instead of your job skills??.....
Vic:  Because I am ALWAYS in the job market, I have been thinking about this question for a while....and I am sure there will be SOME
people who will judge me by my locs....But I am hoping I will run into a couple of people who will judge me by my skills and NOT by my SKIN and LOCS.....
daez:  Have you had anyone ask to TOUCH your babylocs yet???
Vic:  No...lol
daez:  You've heard people say dreadlocks are dirty and nasty....
What is YOUR feeling about this???  Do you believe it is fact or myth???
Vic:  I feel that they are people who lack knowledge.....and should try to LEARN about it before making such comments.....
daez:  How committed to locing your hair ARE you....
Vic:  I feel like this is a lifetime committment....
daez:  Well, Vic....do you have anything else you would like to say regarding locing your hair or locs in general???
Vic:  All I would say is... anybody who is thinking about locs, I say MAKE that MOVE!!!!  You will see yourself in a whole new light.....
daez:  Do you want to give any shout outs??
Vic:  Wuz up Phi Beta Sigma Frat ((G.O.M.A.B.!!!!!!))
daez:  LOL...Okay Vic....well thank you for taking the time to answer all these questions!!!  I think you are doing a fantastic job keeping them looking GOOD!!!
Vic:  You're welcome...lol
daez:  See ya in 2 weeks!!!........

Thank you God for giving me another day of life....AMEN....
