| Oh my goodness! Can you believe it?? I am 55 years old and going into my 7th year of locing my hair!!! For those of you who have followed my journey from the beginning you know what a milestone this is...for those who are just finding my little place in this space I'll tell you, it's been an amazing time...the best part has been meeting so many wonderful people online who have found my website helpful for THEIR journey to dreadlocks...the kindness and love I've felt has been so awesome...I am so thankful for each and every one of you! I hope you enjoy the updates...they've been a lonnnng time coming!!!!...(((HUGS))) |

| How do I maintain my locs...well it's very simple! I stopped alllll the madness and losing my mind in late 2002...In early 2003 I stopped twisting..latching rolling..EVERYTHING!!...I had all this new baby hair growing in and locking on it's own and that's when reality slapped me in the face! LEAVE IT ALONE!!...and that's what I do...I wash as needed..condition as needed and separate them because they love each other so much they are constantly trying to get "busy" with each other...I make my own products so I apply my own mixture of oils and butters for a conditioner...I shampoo with Liquid African Black Soap...If my scalp feels dry I apply my own blend of oils...and my locs are thriving and growing like NEVER before!!! |

| Check out the 'fro at my roots...my hair is so thick I can't easily run my fingers thru my dreads...I have to constantly separate them from each other cuz they're always trying to make love!!..(LOL!)... |
