| I went on vacation for 2 weeks in late October....went to Oklahoma and fell in love with it.... My locs were tripping hard the first couple of days....Denver is one of the driest cities in the country outside the desert.... Oklahoma is just the opposite....lol.... |
| A few days after I got there I emailed Hempress, a dear online friend and a member of several loc groups, and moderator of LocsVegas and was telling her how much I liked Oklahoma and wanted to move there ASAP.....I also told her my locs were straight trippin' due to the humidity.... ... so Hemp writes back that I am in the vortex and she would have to start calling me Dorothy(Wizard of Oz)...lol... Hahaha Hemp...very funny..lol |
| The weather in Oklahoma when I was there was quite rainy...the humidity is really high...There is a lot of moisture in the air.... So what happened is my locs fluffed up and got all frizzy the day after I got there!!! I was straight tripping because I didn't quite know what to "do" with my doo....lol... |

| So the first thing I did was go to the kitchen and put olive oil on my locs to try and moisturize them...NOT...they weren't exactly dry so to speak...they were plain WACK!!!....lol... The olive oil just soaked right in and disappeared immediately....now I KNEW I was in trouble....lol.... |
| My next option was to roll it....using plain water and olive oil..... |
| I figured that HAD to work...at least that was a guaranteed way to get it back in shape.... NOT!!!....as soon as I took the rollers out my locs frizzed back up and went totally limp....this was truly a first for me.... So finally, I washed my hair with a conditioning shampoo.. then I put on some cream leave in conditioner...then I rolled it up....then I put some light pomade on it when it was dry and I had removed the rollers....that did the trick....my locs were happy once again....lol..... |
| I took these pictures after I got home. Things I now know about dealing with a humid climate that I never knew: Condition...condition...condition.. Use a moisturizer to keep you locs from frizzing up.... Be sure to take an extra Vitamin E capsule..it does help.... Keep your locs covered because for some weird reason humidity draws lint and debris... Keep your sense of humor and enjoy your beautiful skin....lol.... |

| In case you are wondering why I don't look extremely thrilled in these pictures it's because I am missing my kids..... I snuck and took some pictures of them that I want to show you here.... You have heard me talk about my jewel...my daughter Shawna a lot...but you have never seen her...that's because she is very camera shy and doesn't like to take pictures...why, I don't know...because to me she is amazingly beautiful...inside AND outside.... She threatend to sue me if I put her on my website...but I will just have to live with it one way or the other...lol.....this is her.... |

| Shawna (I call her Pooh) is going to have a hizzy fit when she sees this picture because she did not realize I took it ....lol....she looks a LOT like me....actually...she's a combination of Lloyd and I both....but more than anyone she looks like my dear mother.....I already love her to death because she's my baby...but looking like my mom just makes me love her even more.....and of course looking like moi....lol.... |

| A lot of mother's have daughter's they trip on because they have serious attitudes...not me.... My Pooh is a wonderful daughter....loving wife...and fantastic mother who adores her lil' bad ass kids....lol.... I sit back and watch in amazement the way she so freely gives of herself to her loved ones....I am sooo proud of the young woman she has turned out to be..... She doesn't think she is pretty.....and she is not....she's absolutely beautiful....She's a natural beauty who doesn't know the affect she has on people...which is always a blessing...we are best friends....she's is my greatest cheerleader in ANYTHING I do....and I am hers.... When I feel sad, the first person I call is Pooh....when I am happy the first person I call is Pooh....and the icing on the cake is that Raymon (Popi), her husband, is my heart as well.... Her children are adorable...smart...cute...and funny....they call me "MeMa"....I have been with them since they were born....they are my little loves..... A major part of me has been ripped away for now....and my heart is broken....I miss them terribly....but I am also happy for them because they are finally where they want to be.... I love you all very much.......((HUGS)))..mommie..... |

| Bully got this name when he was about a week old....Shawna was nursing him...and when he was hungry he would DEMAND to be fed....lol....by Bullying her....He would take his head and bang it into her face and suck on it when he wanted to eat....lol... He is a gifted student and has a true loving and soft heart.....and he is truly a "MeMa's" boy...lol... this is the link to his little website we started Bully |

| Okay...let me tell you about my dear daughter and HER excellent hair adventures....lol... Pooh has a THICK head full of hair...which she hates to mess with...when she was a child I had no problem with her hair upkeep....remember how I told you my mother relaxed my hair when I was 13....well I did the same dayum thing to my child when she was 4!!!! It didn't really mess her hair up...Thank God...but by the time she was 6 I had started braiding it all the time....and it was great! She wore relaxers until about 13 months ago....but doesn't want to loc her hair even though Popi would love it...instead she choses to keep it braided with micro braids...she wears them well.... About 4 months ago she couldn't take it any more...the thickness and out of controlness of her natural hair....I spent a LOT of time literally BEGGING her not to relax it, and she didn't .....instead, she put a mild texturizer in it...lol.... Now you know I was truly PIZZED off...because she was defeating the whole purpose of being NATURAL....lol...but fortunately the texturizer didn't take...WHEW!!!....lol.... So if you know anyone who does a bomb job of braiding in Oklahoma....hit me up...aiight...thanks....lol.... |

| Bully and Ray-Ray absolutely adore each other....most of the time....lol.... They spend a lot of time arguing because Ray-Ray thinks she is Bully's age and he thinks he knows everything their is to know about life....sometimes I think he does.....lol.... But even though they fuss and fight these hugs and kisses they share are very real... |
