| Black Rose Do you see the red sky burning Can you feel the heat...the yearning... It's blazing on your petals Like hard dry ice it settles.... Can you spread your wings and hover..... Can you FREE yourself...take cover Your petals are open, unprotected... But isn't this what you EXPECTED???? You're surrounded by the birdsong... Concentrated...hungry...so strong You were born to die...so don't even try... For your beauty is only for the eye.... So you bend and wilt...dry and empty Petals hit the ground...all around me.... As your lovely facade Longs to linger in shade.... It's the choice that GOD made You are going to fade.... You're a flower...yes...you ARE eye candy.... When we pick you it comes in quite handy For an artist a muse.... You're just something to use And you're going to lose Out with all the refuse.... As the sunsets its power is broken And for you life is over...a token Pleasure like this can't last For your beauty fades fast But your heart filled a task You are free now...RELAX..... ....just me...daez Copyright 8/4/2002 |
