Okay...so this is actually the third visit for Eric...He made a couple of MAJOR errors the first 5 days....lol....
Even though I STRESSED to him to either tie his hair up with a silk, satin, or wannabee satin doo-rag or put on a bonnet, Eric went home and put a plastic baggie type thing on his head....lol...One night, he didn't tie it up AT ALL.....((NOOOOO))....His hair is baby soft, what I call "downy"....So of course, it fuzzed up on him....lol.....
He came over and I retwisted it, and gave him one of my "Walmart Special's".....it's a silk or satin wannabee bonnet...with elastic around it. It stay's put, keeps the hair in place, and is comfortable...I have a TON of them...Luckily, I had a brand new one to send home with Eric.
His hair is kinda doing it's own thing, and I am going to let it...the way he sleeps...the way his hair's natural pattern falls...I am not going to FORCE it to go a certain way...just keep it neat and well groomed...the right side is growing in a "back" pattern....it's pretty cool....the left side is growing "down"....so I just form each bablyloc gently and let it go the way it wants to....when he gets a little more length I'll start to manipulate it a more, like I do with Vic's......
He came over last night because it was time to wash his hair. The before pictures show how each babyloc is STILL in place, just soft and fuzzy....This is after 3 good shampoo's... Eric figures he comes every 5 days....it's cool....I am VERY..VERY cost effective, ridiculously so in fact, so it works for both of us....lol... Matter of fact, a whole month of visits to me is less than ONE visit to a salon....AND, you get to chill out, watch tv or listen to good music, and loced people are always dropping by to chat.....there's a pretty cool, laid back vibe in my home....he seems to enjoy it....
Our routine:
Shampoo....Eric's into Tressame' right now....it works, and get's his hair clean...
Mist each babyloc with water and apply a tiny dab of PK's and comb coil....
Lightly blow dry....and then...DONE!! NO muss...NO fuss.....
I think he's learned to keep his head covered to give the babylocs time to get going...he's a sweetie....lol....
Thank you God for giving me another day of life....AMEN....
