Lawana's Kinky Doo's II
Lawana went to a fashion show her son was sponsering yesterday, and wanted to do something different to her hair....

Here's what we did:

I took some TCB tea tree gel and twisted the ends of her straw set to add sheen about the sides and back...

I parted the front into sections to make flat twists....

The front hairline and sides have a lot of breakage due to old relaxer's and tight french braids....So in order to make the flat twists firmer, I took some extension hair, cut it into short mid thick pieces to add thickness.....

I took a dab of black gel and a dab of TCB twist and loc gel and applied it to each section...

I laid the cut piece of extension hair on top of the section....

I began to twist upwards, using a rattail comb to make sure the hair stayed in place....

I twisted it to almost the end....then I applied a tiny black rubber band to the piece I was working on at the root....

I continued this all around.....

I took the loose straw set hair and pulled it over the end of the section that had the rubberband attached....

I lightlly blow-dried it all over...you can't tell from the pictures how curly it is and how well the straw set has lasted....it's starting to come out, but that is only making it cuter and fuller....it's starting to 'fro out with curly ends.....

The flat twists are sitting up much more than you can tell also....but it'll do until her shampoo this week...

My homegirl's hair is soooo thick I want to be skurred to mess with it...lol..but I can hang....

Thank you God for giving me another day of life....AMEN.....
