Dear Journal,
I am living with my daughter and her husband, Shawna and Raymon, right now. I needed them because my landlord went up $600 on the rent!! They need me to help babysit the new baby Raana, and Kyree when he gets home from school. This is just temporary, and as soon as I can find a place I can afford I'm gone... Thank God we all love each other so much! It's not to bad really. I love spoiling all of them. What a cute little family!!!
My son Corey and his family moved to Jacksonville, Florida in June. Shawna and Raymon want to move to Oklahoma. It's going to be tough with both my kids gone, but I'll manage. I actually feel stronger mentally and physically than I have in years! Thank you God....
I've decided to loc my hair. I am sooo tired of all these fake hairdo's!!! I keep switching from braids to relaxers, to weaves and bonds. Enough is enough! The kids are going to go visit Raymon's mother for Labor Day Weekend. That's when I am going to do it. When Raymon get's home from work tonite I am going to have him cut off my relaxed hair. I wonder how I will look??....lol.... They are going to be so surprised!! I really don't have a clue how to do locs except you use beeswax. I wish Corey was here. He's been loced for like 4 years now. He could hook me right up! But I have very good hair visualization skills. If I see a style I like I just...do it...I don't know how I know, but I know how.
Everytime I would see his locs my eyes would just linger on them. I NEVER thought that child's hair could look so beautiful. This is going to be a major step for me. I have wanted locs for years, but I just couldn't get my head in the right place for them. They say locing is a journey...well, it's time for me to get going!!! I have stale mated long enough!!! This is it. I figure if I condition my hair for a week or two it will be in good shape. Back to a TWA..lol...this is going to be a trip!
I haven't talked to Al in 2 weeks. Maybe we are getting better at this afterall... I sure miss my mother. I can't believe it's been almost 2 years!!! I wonder does the pain ever go away???

P.S. Well, Raymon cut my hair for me tonite. He had ...uh...er..."smoked" one before he did it. He was kind of nervous about cutting it, but I made him. I should have waited, but it looks okay. I am going to the barber's in the morning....lol...Thank you God for giving me another day of life....Amen....
