This is the 12th week of Victor's journey...You can see his hair is budding like crazy. No signs of the frizzy's yet. He is still getting his locs retwisted every 2 weeks.
We lucked out about a week ago. One of the salon's here that was selling Princess Kayla's Natty Cream finally got their shipment in!! It only took 2 months...lol..
Anyway, he was going to go buy some today, but the salon is closed because it is Labor Day, so we used the LockItUp again...it's working pretty good, holding the locs in place and all, but I noticed a little lint buildup in some of his locs....MAJOR NO-NO in my opinion...lol...
Vic has added a little off maintaince product to his routine of regular shampoo's and retwists. He is using the Carol's Daughter Twist and Loc butter as a moisturizer and for sheen, because the LockItUp leaves his locs looking rather dull...I approve of it for that purpose. He still uses the PK's Scalp spray (the cleanser), in between appointments with me.
His hair is really growing, and looking good!! Scalp still in great shape...no itching, and locs are coming along right on schedule. I am happy, and more importantly, HE is happy!!
I am going to have him get a line cut in the back of his head, because, even though his hair is growing, the very bottom of his hairline is not filling in fast enough. I think it's going to take several months for those spaces to fill in, so the remedy to keep it looking neat is to edge it up for now.
Next time, we will be using the PK's....I'll keep ya posted!.
